Baby Gift

I finally finished a baby gift I've been working on for weeks. It took shape around some wonderful goldfish fabric I found on repro depot. I wanted the colors to be fairly masculine (relatively speaking), and not the typical baby hues. It was also a great way to get through some of my odds and ends of yarn.

The pattern is really easy. I used the general shape I developed for the sleep sack I made in the Crochet to Go Deck. Each strap (2 side, 2 top) has two button holes to allow for a better fit.

My coworker Fabian is getting this. It's his first baby. He just finished this amazing mural for the baby's room.

This is so beautiful! Can you please tell me when I can get the pattern to make one?

I just stumbled upon your blog through a google search. I absolutely LOVE this sleep sack. I've started making one but am unsure of the right measurements. Would you mind commenting back with where I can find this pattern? Thank you!!

I'm going to put together a more thorough pattern for this soon, but a few guidelines for immediate use:

It's a 34in wide x 27 in rectangle, folded in half to create the sack. Any stitch would work (sc, dc, or something more decorative like what I did here). The top edge is worked in sc and dec-sc to create a more snug fit under the baby's arms. I attached to short shoulder straps, and two side straps.
