Baby Boy Projects

I have 4 friends expecting boys right now. There's only one girl coming - and she's a twin of one of the boys. I took a road trip last week and got started on a few of the presents. It's surprisingly hard to find great boy crochet gifts. If you have any ideas, let me know. Right now I'm thinking rattles and squishy balls, hats, and bibs. This blue bib is a ribbed variant of the pattern I've been working on.

Any chance you could share the pattern for the ball? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Cute bright colored balls, can you leave a link for the pattern?

Popped over from Ghosts, and left you a message on your gold scarf post, was unsure if you'd see it, so thought I'd post here as well.

The ball pattern is from Simple Crochet for Cherished Babies. It's a great book - I've made most of the patterns now.

I found this post because I'm having the exact same problem. I have found a baby blanket in the shape of a baseball, with the stitching and everything. That's the front runner, but I'm running out of time. Did you ever find anything wonderful? I guess I could always do the squishy balls.
