Acorn Shrug

This is a free Lion Brand Yarn pattern (download here). The results look nothing like the pattern picture, which presents the shrug as a draped sweater. I'm very pleased with the results, however. It's a simple wide scarf, with the ends partially sewn together to form armholes. You can wear it as a scarf, as a "sweater" using the armholes, or - as shown - put one arm through both openings for a wrap.

I modified the pattern, which is sc only, to have sc borders on the top and bottom, dc rows in the center.

I love this! it looks perfect for cool summer nights, which would be nice to have after this mindnumbing heat.

I love this on you! Checked out the pattern on the Lion website. Your adjustments are so much better. I'd love to know how you put the seam together (where the ends connect?). Can you give some input?

Hi - I actually used the original instructions for the seam - just folded in half and sewed the edges, leaving an armhole. It worked great!
