I'm making good progress on my grandmother's scarf. I bought two colors (shown) so that I have the option of adding a scalloped border around the entire scarf. I'm not sure if I'll actually add it - I'm really liking the look of this stitch all by itself.

That is a very cute pattern stitch. Perfect for a scarf. It would look especially good on a dark coat.
